Halloween and October Half Term is eerily close, which means it’s time to get planning where you are going to go this Halloween 2022.
For those who dare, we’ve spotted plenty of spooky-themed days out across the UK, including Legoland, Cadbury World, Drayton Manor and Warwick Castle with freaky face painting, bewitching creatures and spooky storytelling.

3. Warwick Castle – The Haunted Castle from 1st – 31st October
Warwick castle is a great day out for children of all ages and during the Halloween event. Search the spooky mansion, navigate the Haunted Hollows and discover even more quirky characters in their spellbinding shows and activities.

4. Alton Towers Scarefest is on the 7th – 9th, 14th – 31st October 2022
This Halloween celebrate 15 years of Scarefest. As the nights get longer, tiptoe into Alton Towers Resort for all sorts of creepy scares, shocks and thrills. Expect spines to be tingled!
Open until 9pm, daring guests can face head-spinning, hair-raising rides and attractions in the darkness including Wicker Man and the Alton Towers Dungeon.

6. Brick or Treat at Legoland is 1st – 31st October 2022
We think this is one of the best Halloween events for kids in the UK. For a short period of time the park is spookily decorated and Halloween themed. This October half term bring your little monsters to the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort and get into the Halloween spirit with their Brick or Treat event.
Brick or Treat presents Monster Party, where the LEGO®Monsters are taking over at LEGOLAND® this October, including half term! They’re rocking up with an awesome Brick or Treat Monster Party to celebrate their fantastic new 4D Movie ‘The Great Monster Chase!’ and everyone’s invited. 7. Warner Brothers Studio Tour London – 23rd September – 6th November 2022
With Harry Potter being a wizard what better place to visit this Halloween. You are able to relive the magic and witness the making of the Harry Potter films, view the original Hogwarts Express and look at many of the props and memorabilia used in the films.
Experience Hallowe’en as if you were a Hogwarts student, by stepping into the Great Hall with over 100 pumpkins floating above a spooky feast, as seen inHarry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. During filming, the Propmaking Team carved the pumpkins each to have their own unique design
For the first time this year, visitors to the Studio Tour will discover the secrets behind the Riddikulus spell as a selection of props from Professor Lupin’s Defence Against the Dark Arts class will be on display, including the Boggart wardrobe and the Vulture hat donned by a Boggart in the shape of Professor Snape.

8. Black Country Living Musuem – 26th -29th October

13. West Midland Safari Park’s Spooky Spectacular -22nd – 30th October
Visit West Midland where it will be brimming with Halloween decorations and hundreds of pumpkins in their Pumpkin Patch.

17. Halloween Events at English Heritage, National Trust and CADW
Grab your broomsticks for a ghoulishly great day out at our Halloween events taking place across the country.
Need fiendish family fun to entertain your little monsters? Try our new adventure trail inspired by Cressida Cowell’s bestselling Wizards of Once series, or head out after dark on a spooky woodland walk.
