The Druid Monkey is by far one of the strongest Towers players can place in all of Bloons TD 6 and quite frankly I have to say that the majority of players look past these extremely powerful towers simply because their upgrades don’t actually look as powerful as other Tower’s upgrades.
The Druid Monkey has the ability to throw both spikes or conjure up magic abilities that deal AoE damage based on what upgrade path players choose to upgrade to.
The Druid has a fairly decent range, allowing players to get through the majority of early game rounds, though players should note that the Druid cannot gain Camo detection without a Monkey Village with Radar Scanner (-/2/-) or a Hero like Etienne.
Well, that’s not fully true, player will be able to obtain Camo detection with a tier-5 upgrade to Path 1.
The Druid has some resemblance to the Wizard Monkey/Monkey Apprentice from BTD5, being able to summon Lightning Bolts, allowing the the Wizard Monkey to focus on energy and fire damage.
The following guide will take you through everything you need to know about the Druid and what the best strategies when using a Druid.

PATH 1 TIER-5 DRUID – SUPERSTORM
The Superstorm is the most basic of the Druid abilities, not because it is not powerful, but because it’s a path players should be acquainted to simply because it heavily resembles the Path 1 Monkey Apprentice from Bloons TD 5.
The Superstorm Druid is capable of providing the player with massive amounts of support, being able to damage a maximum of 200 regular bloons, shredding away 12 layers at a time.
The Superstorm Druid can deal damage to a maximum of 40 MOAB-class bloons, 10 Brutal Floating Behemoths (BFBs) or 4 Zepplin of Mighty Gargantuannesses (ZOMGs). at a time, still dealing 12 damage per hit by using it’s Super-Tornado.
The Super-Tornado can be summoned every 5 seconds, also being able to blow away affected bloons.
Unfortunately the Superstorm upgrade isn’t the most powerful upgrade and comes at a pretty high price point.
The upgrade provides players with more damage, increasing the damage of Heart of Thunder by 2 (deals 3 damage total) and Ball Lightning by 3 (deals 5 damage total)
The nice thing about this upgrade is that it retains all of the previous tiers, still dealing pretty high damage to all types of bloons, especially MOAB class bloons.
Most notably, the Druid will now be able summon 10 Ball Lightnings which will result in extra Lightning Bolts.
When it comes to which upgrade path players should cross path, I strongly recommend Path 3.
Path 2 will allow players to shoot 8 thorns instead of 5 as well as convert Regrow Bloons into normal bloons, which isn’t the most helpful for players.
Path 3 will simply increase the range of the Druid as well as provide it with 10% attack speed, essentially being more useful for this support type of tower.
In my opinion the Path 1 Superstorm Druid isn’t a great upgrade path to choose unless players are looking for some extra support, especially with blowing back bloons.
PATH 2 TIER-5 DRUID – SPIRIT OF THE FOREST
The Spirit of the Forest is an upgrade path I originally ignored, however, it’s an upgrade path that can actually provide players with a great amount of power while also providing them a healthy amount of cash per round.
Not only will players be able to activate the previous Jungle Bounty ability that provides cash based on how many Banana Farms are nearby the Spirit of the Forest, but players will receive $1,000 each round that the Spirit of the Forest is out.
Whenever players activate the Jungle Bounty ability, they will also receive 25 lives.
The nicest thing about the Spirit of the Forest is that it will slowly grow thorned vines along the track which will deal 2 damage to normal bloons, 10 damage to Ceramic Bloons and 6 damage to MOAB-class bloons every 0.5 seconds.
The nice thing about the thorns is that they deal damage to Camo Bloons without any upgrades, but they cannot deal any damage to Lead Bloons unless they are placed next to a Monkey Village with Monkey Intelligence Bureau (-/3/-).
Thorns also have infinite pierce, effectively being able to damage all bloons that are on the field while the thorns are up.
Players can purchase the Vine Rupture Monkey Knowledge in order to explode all of the vines on the field in order to deal 50 damage from each segment of the covered track.
Players can use this ability to deal massive damage to lower tier bloons, especially if they need some extra defense.
Players can pair up a Spirit of the Forest with a Monkey Village with Monkey Intelligence Bureau (-/3/-) in hopes of securing takedowns of DDTs, essentially being one of the easiest way to passively deal damage, though quite expensive.
The Spirit of the Forest is most useful on longer maps, especially as their thorns will essentially cover the whole map.
While players may want to place a Spirit of the Forest on a shorter map, I would strongly recommend against this as it will greatly effect the damage the Spirit of the Forest can deal, instead use another path for upgrade.
The best map to use the Spirit of the Forest on is Logs.
When it comes to cross pathing a Spirit of the Forest, players will not actually need to as none of the upgrades really help the tower.
Instead, I would recommend saving your money.
Path 1 will allow players to pop Frozen Bloons with it’s hard thorns and deal damage with forked lightning.
Path 3 will increase the range of the thorns and will gain attack speed for it’s basic attacks, not affecting the thorns.

PATH 3 TIER-5 DRUID – AVATAR OF WRATH
By far my favourite upgrade path for the Druid is the Avatar of Wrath. I literally cannot get enough of it.
The Avatar of Wrath, which I admittedly looked past at first, can deal a plethora of damage and will gain more damage as bloons make their way across the map.
Initially the Avatar or Wrath will deal 4 damage, shoot every 0.55 seconds and have 50 range.
The Avatar of Wrath will increase in damage for every 3,000 RBE that are on screen, up to a maximum of 30 damage.
The Avatar of Wrath should be placed next to a number of Path 3 Druids similar to a Ninja Monkey in order to get the most out of this upgrade path.
Players can also enhance the Avatar of Wrath by placing Obyn Greenfoot and a Stronger Stimulant Alchemist, however, similar to many other upgrades for the Druid, players will need to place a Monkey Village with Monkey Intelligence Bureau (-/3/-) to deal damage to all types of bloons, essentially providing players with the ability to shred through DDTs.
Honestly, an Avatar of Wrath with some Path 3 Poplusts can be a perfect strategy for dealing with most rounds of CHIMPS as they will deal massive damage to all types of bloons.
5 Poplust Druids will increase the Avatar of Wrath by a maximum of 175% attack speed, while Obyn will continuously provide pierce as it gets upgraded.
Players must be wary when placing an Alchemist with Unstable Concoction or a Mortar Monkey with Shattering Shells as this will drop the amount of RBE on the screen, basically cutting the Avatar of Wrath’s damage by a chunk.
When it comes to cross pathing an Avatar of Wrath players can use either upgrade path.
Path 1 is less effective in my opinion, although it does provide players with more AoE due to it’s lightning.
Path 2 is more effective as it will provide players with more thorns to throw, allowing the Avatar of Wrath to deal more damage when bloons are nearby. This will come in more handy when dealing with large bloons, especially MOAB-class bloons.
CONCLUSION
While all Druids have their uses, I am the biggest fan of the Path 3 Avatar of Wrath simply due to the vast amount of damage it can deal and the fact that players will be able to deal more damage based on how many bloons are on the field.
Lord knows I love Towers that can deal such massive damage to bloons in its range.
My second favourite Druid is the Path 1 Superstorm Druid as it will allow players to have some extra time to deal with bloons before they leak, essentially being able to blow away bloons before they begin to leak, though I’m a bit disheartened by the lack of damage it has in comparison to Path 3.
While Path 2 is an extremely powerful upgrade path for players to upgrade to, the only reason it’s so low on my list is because it will not deal optimal damage unless it is place on a longer map.
I would say if you’re hoping to place a Path 2 Spirit of the Jungle Druid, you should take use it on “easier” maps as they tend to have more length to them.
