The initial access charge for DSTV is usually around ₦18,900 to ₦25,000. Although, the price varies. This initial charge will cover the cost of the satellite dish, cables, DSTV decoder and other installation charges with a 3 months subscription access. As said in the introduction of this post, the DSTV Compact Plus bouquet gives you all 145+ DSTV Compact channels with two sports channels as an addition. This sports channels include SuperSport 7 and SuperSport 10. This package offer Sport lovers wider access to different kinds of premium sports against the expensive DSTV Premium bouquet.

This particular package is the best as channels exclusive to DSTV Premium package are Mnet Movies 1 & 2, History Channel, SuperSport 3, Discovery channel, Boomerang, and all HD channels, and much more.
You also get a DSTV Mobile+ free package for subscribing for this package as long as you have a DSTV Drifta decoder.

HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR DSTV SUBSCRIPTION AFTER PAYMENT
You send your DSTV smart card number with this Code “RA” (without the quotes) to the DSTV self-care number 30330.
LATEST NEWS ON DSTV PLANNED INCREASE ON PRICES OF SUBSCRIPTION (JANUARY, 2023)
According to Multichoice, Premium subscribers on DStv will from March next month, pay ₦21,000 as opposed to ₦18,400 for premium. This announcement by the cable TV company has promised to adjust both its DStv and GOtv prices so as to implement the new VAT rate of 7.5% from 5%.
Henceforth, Subscribers of Compact Plus will have to pay ₦14,250 against ₦12,000. Also, Compact bouquet price has been increased from ₦7,900 to ₦9,000. Confam bouquet subscribers will now pay ₦5,300 against ₦4,615 while those using the Yanga plan will pay ₦2,950 against ₦2,500.
Max on GOtv subscribers will pay ₦3,280 from ₦2,999 while Jolli and Jinja subscribers will pay ₦2,999 and ₦6,900 respectively.
MultiChoice dully explained that the increase in prices was in line with the legislation of the Federal Government which increased VAT, with implementation effective as soon as possible.
“In order to provide some relief for customers, MultiChoice Nigeria has absorbed the cost of increase in VAT for the past four months, keeping its products and services at the old 5% VAT, however this is no longer possible and the mandated 7.5% VAT will be applied accordingly”.
