With HBO Max already available in over 100 territories, offering a vast library of content, its entry into these key European markets is a big deal. And WBD is pulling out all the stops with an impressive lineup of original shows and movies.
Here's a sneak peek at what's in store: From Germany, get ready for the gritty prequel 4 Blocks Zero and the thrilling true-story heist drama Banksters. But here's where it gets controversial—the Beetz Brothers documentary about the infamous 'Big Maple Leaf' gold coin theft will also make its debut, sparking discussions about crime and art.
Italy brings its own brand of drama with a scripted show based on the chilling 2011 murder of Melania Rea. And the controversial thriller series by Dark Ways creators, where the twisted tales of 'Struwwelpeter' come to life, is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
HBO Max will also feature powerful documentaries, including the story of cinema legend Gina Lollobrigida's contested legacy and the tragic struggle for freedom of a young Pakistani woman, Saman.
