Imagine eating mountains of food every single day, yet remaining incredibly slim. Sounds too good to be true, right? That's exactly the situation that's sparking intense reactions online, all focused on the weight of one very popular Mukbang YouTuber: Tzuyang.
Koreaboo recently reported on Tzuyang's appearance on JTBC's "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator," where she revealed some truly eye-opening details about her eating habits and, most notably, her weight. During the show, Tzuyang shared, "I’ve eaten up to 20 packages of ramen. I usually eat more than when I’m on air. On air, I eat for about two to three hours, but in real life, it takes me about six hours.” Just let that sink in for a moment – twenty packages of ramen!
But here's where it gets controversial... she then casually dropped the bombshell that she currently weighs around 44 kg (97 lbs). This revelation immediately sent shockwaves through the studio and online. A clip from the show circulating on Twitter perfectly captures the stunned reactions. One of the show's guests, Yoo Nam No, exclaimed that the weight difference between them was a factor of 2.5. Chef Choi Hyun Suk even jokingly asked if Yoo Nam No weighed over 100 kg. The response? "It’s been a while since I’ve gone over 100…"
Chef Choi Hyun Suk, clearly fascinated, then posed a question about the direct impact of eating on her weight: “So, for example, if you eat 2 kg of food, does that mean you gain that much weight?” Tzuyang's answer was equally astonishing. She confessed, “I tried eating while weighing myself, and I gained as much as I ate. I lost a little weight while waiting.” And this is the part most people miss... She further elaborated that her incredibly fast metabolism is the key. She even mentioned that her stomach often makes loud rumbling noises due to rapid digestion.
Tzuyang's lifestyle comes with a hefty price tag, though. She openly admitted, “I spend about 10,000,000 KRW ($~6,781.84 USD) on food per month. I’ve spent 3,000,000 KRW ($~2,034.55 USD) on one delivery app.” That's a lot of takeout!
Unsurprisingly, viewers have been expressing a mix of awe and, frankly, jealousy regarding her ability to consume such enormous quantities of food while maintaining her weight. Some of the comments include:
- “Thank goodness we live in a time of mukbang… I don’t know how she would’ve covered all the food expenses.”
- “She really needs to be studied.”
- “Tzuyang is really so interesting…”
- “It won’t be easy for a normal person to live like Tzuyang…but maybe like half? So interesting…”
- “So jealous that she can eat whatever she wants and still maintain that weight…even if I want to eat more, I can’t.”
- “So jealous…”
The reactions highlight a common desire to enjoy food without the constraints of weight gain. But is it just about metabolism, or are there other factors at play that aren't being discussed? Could it be genetics, lifestyle, or even the types of food she consumes? It's undeniable that Tzuyang's situation is unique, and perhaps even a little enviable. But does it set unrealistic expectations? What do you think? Is it all just a matter of good genes, or is there more to the story? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
