Does Germany have a working holiday visa? ›

General information. The Working Holiday and Youth Mobility Visa Programmes aim to enable young people to gain insight into culture and daily life in Germany. The intention is to promote increased mutual understanding and your primary aim should be to visit Germany.

💰 The cost of the Working Holiday Visa for Germany is EUR 75 payable in local currency by cash or credit card.

This allows you to live in Germany for up to a year, during which time you can leave and re-enter the country as often as you like. You may also work during your stay in Germany, although any work should be “incidental” to your holiday and not the primary reason for you travelling to Germany.

With this visa you can

Work for an employer for up to one year. Visit other EU/Schengen Area countries during your Working Holiday visa period. Leave and re-enter Germany any number of times while the visa is valid.

Your bank balance must show you have a minimum of EUR 947 or INR 88,060.90 for each month you spend there. So, if your visa is valid for six months, you must provide proof of having a minimum amount of EUR 5,682 or INR 513,718.73.
