During its fifth consideration, site places for Costco Wholesale’s Georgetown location were approved at the Sept. 6 Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The 160,437-square-foot warehouse and store will be at 2201 N. I-35, near the intersection of Airport Road and Lakeway Drive. Construction of the retailer is expected to start by the end of the year, according to the city.
Developers are set to begin construction on Phase 2 of the Wellhouse Business Park, which includes adding four new shell industrial buildings. Each new building will be approximately 10,500 square feet and will coincide with the six existing buildings at 2500 NE Inner Loop, Georgetown, that were built in 2017. Existing tenants include Rentsch Brewery, Elliott Electric Supply and Ecopool.

BRIDGE BUSINESS PARK
The W.D. Kelley Foundation has received initial approval from the city to construct a new business park on 92.2 acres located at 5501 S. I-35, Georgetown. According to site plans, the “corporate campus-style” development, which aims to bring employers to the city, will have about 1.1 million square feet of office and flex space across seven buildings as well as a shared outdoor amenity space and 1,500 parking spaces.

Development updates on Georgetown's Costco, two business parks. To support Georgetown's growing population, site plans for the city's first Costco were recently approved. Additionally, an expansion is planned at one local business park and another has been approved.
This 2.9-mile project consists of widening SE Inner Loop to a four-lane, divided, minor arterial from Hwy.29 to Sam Houston Avenue and to a five-lane, undivided, major arterial from Sam Houston Avenue to FM 1460. The project also includes a shared-use path for pedestrians and bicycles on one side.
The Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved rezoning a 35-acre parcel of land to develop Georgetown ISD's Future Ready Learning Complex during a Jan. 4 meeting. The facility, located at 5001 Airport Road, Georgetown, will house several GISD programs to prepare students for a career.
A new shopping center will be developed in Georgetown that will add 120,000 square feet to the suburb's retail market. The Cedar Breaks West Shopping Center, which will be anchored by a 23,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store, will rise on the northwest corner of Williams and Wildwood drives.
And it seems like everyone is going to Georgetown, the country's fastest-growing town. Lowe's, the home improvement company, will open its new Austin-area store in the first quarter of 2025. Lowe's chief competitor, Home Depot, has a store about four miles away from the new Lowe's store.
Loop 360 is a 13.99-mile (22.51 km) loop route in Austin in the U.S. state of Texas. Loop 360 is a scenic highway winding through the hills of West Austin.
The new branches will be in Florida, California, Tennessee and Texas. According to the company's website, a branch in Loomis, California will open in May. Four more stores will open in the month of June in different states: North Port, Florida; Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Riverbank, California; and Richmond, Texas.
Located near the San Gabriel River, the school is being built within the 3,800-acre master-planned community's Tierra Rosa Village. San Gabriel Elementary School construction will be completed in summer 2024. San Gabriel Elementary School will open in fall 2024. Benold Middle School will open in fall 2024.
The Georgetown Executive Airport at Johnny Gantt Field serves general and corporate aviation, providing full service amenities, aviation fuel, avionics sales, service, and aircraft maintenance. The 5,004 foot runway provides a gateway to the Texas Hill Country.
The hard-surface flooring retailer will move into a former H-E-B grocery store located off I-35. H-E-B closed the 67,000-square-foot building and opened a new 121,000-square-foot store across the highway this summer, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
This increase in numbers can be credited mainly to its close proximity to the Austin metro area providing advantageous job opportunities and having an appealing quality of life.

The $160 million warehouse is located on a 79-acre site at 2311 93rd avenue in Tumwater and features modern-industrial amenities, 175 car parking spaces, 418 trailer spaces, and 129 dock doors.
